Description EDIT
The trail meanders into the Stormberg Mountain Range that rises steeply above the small town of Burgersdorp. The 413 ha De Berg Nature Reserve above the town is well stocked with large game species: blesbok, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, kudu, zebra and springbuck, mountain reedbuck, duiker and steenbok. Burgersdorp High School is responsible for planning and marking the trail.

There are two rondavels with accommodation for 10 hikers in each hut. Footpaths are marked. The resort area at the J L de Bruin Dam has facilities for boating, camping and angling. There are also ablution blocks, chalets and caravan sites and electricity available. Game viewing may be done by 4x4 vehicle from a short length of gravel road.

Direction: The R391 and the R48 converge at Burgersdorp.

No permit required.
