Cream to brown, funnel shaped. This fungus is one of the wood decaying fungi and it is also referred to as a white rot fungus. The fruiting body is extremely tough with a well-developed central stalk, there are lamellate gills on lower surface. Margins of cap rolled under when old and dry.
