Shallow convex with a slight central depression becomes funnel-shaped. Orange, with darker concentric zones, sometimes greyish, or flecked with green. Turns green with age or bruising.

  30mm-90mm long x 10.5mm-40mm tapering. Carrot-colorized, flecked with green. When you cut the stem in half it is hollow. Flesh is pale ochre-carrot in colour and shows a distinct orange outer ring when cut horizontally. Ring is absent.
